I've been building Irish
bouzoukis/ citterns/ octave mandolins for about fifteen years now as demand for them has
steadily grown.
In the past I've made many with a guitar type
pin bridge set up, that being the base of my experience, and still like
that sound a lot.
I've also been working on the floating bridge ( if that's the
correct term!) soundboard design, and got that to a fairly developed
stage now. So I'm happy to do either.
These are very variable instruments and I
generally design to order.
String length for the GDae tuning alone can vary from 535mm right
up to 660mm, and bodies can be made in all shapes and sizes. So contact
me for more information specific to what you may need.
